Daryl K. Branscombe
Author, 'Walking with a Limp'
and 'My spiritual Journey beyond the Tragedies'

Daryl Branscombe has worked in the business community in the City of Fredericton and other parts of the Province of New Brunswick for the past 30 years. A former high school teacher, he left the teaching profession in the mid-seventies to pursue a business career. In 1997 he launched his own development under a holding company known as Dad's Enterprise (NB) Ltd.

Daryl has been actively involved in the community. He served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement, United Way, Partners for Youth and moderator of the church he attends He was the founding director of Downtown Development Ltd ,an organization that represents the business community in downtown Fredericton. As well he was the first President of the Business New Brunswick Association (BNA) a Provincial Organization that represents the interest of businesses located in the Central Business District throughout New Brunswick. He was Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee that lobbied the City, Province and the University of New Brunswick to establish the Fredericton Knowledge Park, which fosters knowledge based industries in the City.

He is Past President and CEO of Hospice Fredericton who recently opened their doors to receive Palliative patients in the final stages of life.  He Chaired the Capital Campaign Committee and oversaw the construction and renovation of Rosary Hall in downtown Fredericton. 

In October of 2016, he will receive an Honorary Doctorate’s Degree from the University of New Brunswick.
Daryl published a book entitled “Walking With a Limp” which is an autobiography and is dedicated to the memory of his sons who passed away from an autoimmune disease. In 2016, he published a new book entitled “My spiritual Journey beyond the Tragedies.”

Currently, he does public speaking in Churches and Service clubs delivering a message of “Triumph over Tragedies.

He is married to Angela Maddox and they reside in Fredericton, N.B.
