Mike Owens is Senior Partner, Clients and Markets for Deloitte Canada. In this role Mike works with our practice leaders across the country on the Firm’s most strategic clients and opportunities. He is responsible for coaching and mentoring a number of our developing lead client partners for these major clients.  In the Americas’ region, Mike is on the faculty for Deloitte's Lead Client Partner Development Program.

Mike is the senior relationship partner for a number of Deloitte’s most significant clients.  He is one of our Canadian leaders of Deloitte's Global CFO Program which supports the successful transition of these executives into their new roles and has led several engagements with organizations in the private sector and federal public sector.

Previous Experience

Mike was a member of Deloitte's global leadership team and was the global leader of our mid-market business, Growth Enterprises, with responsibility for our brand, market offering and talent development for global mid-sized private businesses, high wealth families and private equity. From 2006 until 2012 he led our Canadian Marketplace practices with responsibility for our market activities in 50 Canadian offices. Prior to 2006, Mike was a member of Deloitte's Canadian Board, Chair of the Board's Finance committee and of its Risk committee. During this time he was also Managing Partner for our Atlantic Canada practice.

For over 25 years, Mike has served as lead partner for some of the Canadian Firm’s most significant clients across the country. Those clients have focused on energy and resources, manufacturing and consumer business.
