St. John’s, NL – The director of a local consulting company says she was shocked but thankful to be honoured at the St. John’s Board of Trades’ 37th annual RBC Business Excellence Awards.
Dallas Mercer is the woman behind Dallas Mercer Consulting—winner of the 2019 Business Excellence Award. Founded in 2002, the company helps employers navigate the Workers’ Compensation system, and understand sick leave.
Mercer says they have clients across the country, but all the work is based out of Atlantic Canada. The company employs 35 people, who Mercer credits for their success.
There are no plans to slow down. Mercer says they’re well on the way to meet their goal of doubling business by the end of next year.
The awards were handed out yesterday by the St. John’s Board of Trade, and emceed by VOCM Morning Show co-hosts Fred Hutton and Gerri-Lynn Mackey.
