Malley Industries Wins Business Excellence Award At Expansion Dieppe Virtual Banquet

DIEPPE – Malley Industries was one of the four companies honoured Wednesday evening during Expansion Dieppe’s 18th annual banquet to celebrate the city’s businesses, according to release.

This year, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the banquet happened virtually, with entertainment from local artists Luc LeBlanc, André Roy, Christian Essiambre, Samuel Chiasson and Jean-Sébastien “Bass” Levesque and Emilie Landry.

“We are pleased to offer these four awards to each of the businesses that excel in their respective industries. Our most sincere congratulations to all of you,” said Expansion Dieppe executive director Louis Godbout in a release.

“More than ever, businesses must stand together in order to get through this unprecedented time. The evening allowed us to take a break from everything that is going on and to celebrate the success and resilience of our local businesses. We wanted to emphasize the importance of local purchases and mutual support from the business community, which we helped us raise more than $2,000 in donations.”
Malley Industries, which celebrated it 40th anniversary in 2019, won the Business Excellence Award. The company manufactures ambulances, wheelchair-accessible vehicles and thermoformed composite products for international markets.

The Service Business Excellence Award went to EXIT Realty Associates, a residential real estate brokerage franchise that serves southeast New Brunswick.

CAVOK Brewing Co., the winner of last year’s My Choice award, won the Emerging Business award this year. The brewery’s taproom offers customers local products in an entertaining open-concept atmosphere with a view of the brewing system.

This year’s My Choice award went to Bennic, an ice cream shop that first opened in 2011 and expanded with a second location in Moncton recently.
Approximately 1,300 votes were cast online during the voting period, which ended at midnight on June 24th.

Attendees were invited to order a meal from their favourite local restaurant and buy drinks produced in Dieppe.
