Bob Skillen

Bob Skillen, a member of University of New Brunswick’s senior management team, works closely with the university’s president on all facets of institutional advancement. He serves as a senior fundraiser for UNB and oversees development and donor relations, alumni relations, strategic partnerships and the communications and marketing offices.

He began his advancement career in the fall of 1990, joining the University of New Brunswick as Alumni Director. In this role, Bob was an active member of the Canadian Council for Advancement of Education (CCAE) and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

After serving as Executive Director of the UNB Associated Alumni for 11 years, he became President of Greenarm Management, an Atlantic Canadian property management company. Four years later, Bob returned to UNB to become the university’s first Chief Advancement Officer; a position that was re-named Vice-President (Advancement) four years later.

A three-time UNB graduate, Bob has bachelor’s degrees in physical education and education and a master’s degree in education. Bob has been on UNB’s campus, in one capacity or another, for more than 40 years and has a firmly established knowledge of our university community.
