Alex has spent a career guiding startups with their go to market strategies – ensuring execution excellence while leading global sales, business development, finance, and organizational development teams. Alex is an innovator and entrepreneur who is passionate about the entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is also a formal mentor for numerous startups with the University of Waterloo’s Velocity program. As well as working with and presenting to Venture for Canada groups and fellows as they move through the program.
Alex’s experience come from founding his own company NextUp Labs, and working for such companies as Ortsbo and Thalmic Labs, and corporate knowledge from previous roles at Blackberry and TD Bank Financial Group.
Alex graduated with a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Wilfrid Laurier University.
