Mike Kennedy

Mike Kennedy is a CPA, CA, who is passionate about the place where accounting and social impact meet. Currently a tenure-track professor in accountancy at Acadia University’s Manning School of Business, he brings to the table 15+ years of leadership experience across public, private, and third sector organizations. Prior to joining faculty at Acadia, he worked with Deloitte, the Province of Nova Scotia (Departments of Health, Finance, and Executive Council Office) and in an advisory capacity with multiple startups. He holds degrees from Acadia University (BBA) and University of Saskatchewan (MPAcc) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy through Glasgow Caledonian University. He is an avid musician and endurance sports enthusiast, having cycled across Canada, and completed triathlons from sprint to Ironman distance.
