Norm began his career as a product manager on the Ben’s Holsum bread brand, fresh out of Dal’s MBA program in 1988. He honed his skills at CPG marketing with McCain Foods in the 1990’s launching Super Crisps and Pizza Pockets, before expanding into sales with Sarsfield Foods.
In the early 2000’s Norm ran the sales and marketing organization for Pugwash-based Seagull Pewter, but returned to McCain Foods in 2004 to run the pizza and juice brands as Director of Marketing.
In 2008 Norm joined JD Irving as Director of Strategic Marketing, responsible for improving the sales and marketing capability of many of JDI’s operating companies. In 2009 Norm embraced lean six sigma when he enrolled in JDI’s green belt program. This led to the insight that marketing and sales were not only processes, but processes that could be improved using lean sigma methods. That is PCX Advisors value proposition.
